Area

The village Dalen is situated in the south/east of the province Drenthe, between Coevorden and Emmen.
Dalen is a lively village with various shops and supermarket, and around the church a good choice of reataurants.
In Emmen (15 km) you can visit the Wildlands Adventure Zoo.

Right next to Kozakkenhoeve there is The Homestead, with weaving and smith demonstrations. 

There are two windmills:  “De Bente”, still in use, and "Jan Pol" as a museum.

The province Drenthe is well known for its great cyclingroutes. 
You can rent a bike closeby.

In the direct area there is the `Huttenheugte´ (Center Parcs) with tropical swimmingpools, and attractionpark Plopsa Indoor Coevorden.

At 6 km distance there is a recreationground with beach `Ermerzand´, where you can try waterskiing.

Cycling 4 days in July

Every year in July you can take part in the 4-day cycling event through Drenthe.
The cyclingpaths go through beautiful surroundings and villages, where there is often live music or an artmarket.
